The Center for Information Technology (CIT) Help Desk provides the first-level service for computer problems and questions for faculty, staff and students.

Location

The Help Desk is located at the Information Desk on the main level of Mudd Center in the Academic Commons. Look for overhead signs for "Information" and "Technology Help."

Help Desk Hours

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–9:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Saturday: Noon–5:00 PM

Sunday: Noon–9:00 PM

Services

The Help Desk will provide an initial analysis and enter a work order for follow-on action by Client Services Support Analysts or Maintenance (hardware repair) Technicians. (In some cases, immediate problem resolution by Help Desk personnel may be possible.)

In addition to this support the Help Desk takes care of receiving password change requests and processing them.

The Help Desk is staffed by one full-time Help Desk Coordinator (regular staff), augmented by highly-trained and dedicated student Help Desk Consultants during the academic year and summer.
