Firefox is a free and open-source web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation. Firefox is available for Windows, OS X and Linux operating systems.

Extended Support Release

Firefox is updated very frequently. Some administrative software applications at Oberlin College require a less-frequently-updating version of Firefox called an Extended Support Release (ESR).

Each ESR release, based on the regular version released at the same time, is supported for approximately one year. Unlike the regular ("rapid") releases, ESRs are not updated with new features and performance enhancements every six weeks, but rather are updated with only high-risk-reduction or high-impact security fixes or major stability fixes with point releases, until the end of the ESR cycle.

Visit the CIT Software Downloads page if your work requires an ESR version of Firefox.
