For International Students Unable to Open OCMail
If you're an international student or studying abroad and you find yourself unable to open OCMail or OCApps, please try this solution:
1. Go to http://oberlin.edu/cit/downloads/default.html. It should ask for your username and password; those are your ObieID and the password you set.
2. Click on the button of the operating system you use; on the page it takes you to, look for a link that says "VPN Client". Click that link to download the client.
3. Run the installer that downloads to your computer.
4. Run the program that was just installed. Click the "Connect" button and type your ObieID username and password when it asks for them.
5. If everything goes correctly, you should now be directly connected to Oberlin's campus network; try browsing to OCMail or OCApps again. It should now work.
If you encounter any problems with VPN, please try redownloading it and installing it again. If that doesn't work, please contact us.
