Computer Services at Oberlin College

We want to make your life as stress-free as possible when it comes to your computer, and so we offer a lot of services here for you. Some of the most important ones for students are:

CIT Help Desk

The CIT Help Desk is located in the basement of the Mudd library. There are signs to direct you to the right place, and there will be people there to help you out should you get lost. The Help Desk is the place to go if you need to reset your e-mail password or your Novell password (Novell is used to log on to the Windows machines around campus, and for StuLocker. For more information on this, please go here). This is also the place to go if you have hardware problems or problems that can't be solved by the people working in the TSC. If your problem is not meant to be solved at the Help Desk, they'll tell you where to go and what to tell to the worker you'll see. The Help Desk is open Monday-Friday, 9 A.M.-12 P.M. and 1-4:30 P.M.

Technology Services Center (TSC)

The Technology Services Center (TSC) is located in Academic Commons, which is on the Main Level of the Mudd Library. Coming in from the main entrance, walk straight to the glass office on the back wall. If you're in the Academic Commons and wish to ask for help regarding anything computer oriented, feel free to walk right in and ask away. One of the perks of the TSC is that it's open much later than the Help Desk. The TSC is open from 10AM - 10 PM Monday - Friday, and 4PM - Midnight on Sundays.

OnCampus

OnCampus is part of the Oberlin College website that provides access to information about what is happening on campus. If you log in, information specific to you will be displayed. In courses or organizations students can access materials, participate in discussions, wikis, or blogs, and even take online quizzes/surveys through these sites. You can log on to OnCampus by clicking here. Be sure to login with your ObieID credentials.

StuLocker

StuLocker is a web based storage space where you can put any files that you so choose. Since it's web based, it can be accessed anywhere either on or off campus. For more information on StuLocker and Novell, go here.

OCApps

OCApps, powered by Google, are an addition to your standard OCMail account. This suite of web-based applications includes calendar functionality, instant messaging, a website and wiki builder, and collaborative document sharing. For more information on OCApps, click here.
