Naming Documents
When you create a new document, OCDocs will start saving it as either Untitled or will create a title from the first few words entered in the document.
Text Size, Font and Spacing
If you'd like to change the font or the text size quickly, without opening the 'Document styles' window, you can do so by using the drop-down menus in the toolbar. Select the text you'd like to change and click either the font menu, which lists Verdana, or the text-size drop-down menu, shown as 10pt. Choose a new font or text size, and the changes are applied to the text you selected in the doc. If you’d like to change the spacing of the document, go to the edit drop-down menu and choose Document styles. From there, you can change your line-spacing.
Find and Replace
While you can “Find and replace” terms in documents using OCDocs, the "Find and replace" feature is still in its experimental stages. There are a few important things to know before using this feature: At this point, “Find and replace” can only be used to “replace all,” not to selectively replace certain terms in a document. Undo doesn't work with this feature, so be sure you really want to replace everything before clicking "Replace All."To use the "Find and replace" feature, please follow these steps:
- Choose "Edit" > "Find and replace."
- Enter the term(s) to find in the "Find what" field, and the terms to replace them with in the "Replace with" field.
- Click "Replace All."
Revert to an Older Version of a Document
OCDocs keeps track of your edit history of a document so that you can revert back to an older version at any time. To revert to an older version of your document, follow these steps:
- Open the document.
- In the File drop down menu, click Revision history.
- Click on any revision from the list you see. If you select the wrong one, you can choose Older or Newer until you find a version you want to work with.
- Click Revert to this one on the right side of the page.
